Hailing from the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, Michael McGraw was born to make music.
Raised on diverse styles from classic rock to R&B to World, Michael found himself yearning to re-create the music he was listening to at an early age. Formal piano lessons soon led to guitar lessons with a teacher who recognized Michael’s passions and innate ability to replicate what he was hearing, and the rest is history.
With over 20 years of experience, Michael has honed his musical identity and craft with excellent listening and improvisational skills, tonal expertise and a precise ear that allows him to excel and thrive across many genres.
A founding member of the Los Angeles based rock band, Brian Buckley Band www.brianbuckleyband.com and a session player for both stage and studio, Michael most recently completed a 96 show run of the Broadway hit ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’ to rave reviews at both Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Costa Mesa Sergestrom Center for the Arts.
Tinkercity Music, an ASCAP member, is Michael’s licensing pseudonym for which he creates music of all genres, grounded in instrumental and groove styles, for TV/Film and Web licensing; Credits including ABC’s Reaper and CBS’s Criminal Minds.
